Sports Illustrated recently featured an article that discusses introPLAY! The article, called “Get off the Couch: Five Ways to get Your Sport on this Summer,” mentions introPLAY as an online service that helps college students motivate to exercise over the summer break when friends are no longer together on campus.
introPLAY is perfect for college students because everybody wants to get back to campus with bragging rights from the summer workout competition. When you form an introLEAGUE, you know exactly which of your friends is staying active and which are taking it easy. If the slackers are on your team, it’s your job to get them to work out more to help out your team.
Of course introPLAY is a great sports community for college students during the school year as well. Create introLEAGUES with friends at your school or with other schools, train with teammates in your sport (offseason and during the season) and learn from friends what they are doing to improve conditioning and keep in shape.
We especially appreciated introPLAY being mentioned as a great website for college students because of how introPLAY first got its start. We know how much fun it was to outdo our buddies in college and we hope everyone can now use introPLAY to have the same fun.
It is very exciting to be included as one of the top destinations on the web for sports and motivation. Thanks very much to SI and the writer, Rosario Doriott (editor of HackCollege)!

Every Player Card now features two new key stats in the introLAY Stats section: introLEAGUE Efficiency and Daily introPOINTS. These stats give you even more insight into a Player’s performance.
- introLEAGUE Efficiency is the average number of introPOINTS scored per day when that Player is in at least one introLEAGUE
- Daily introPOINTS is that Player’s average introPOINTS scored per day, whether he or she is in an introLEAGUE or not
With these new stats, the Chairperson can balance out the teams to make the introLEAGUE competition even better! Or, if you are in an introLEAGUE or thinking about joining one, you can use the Efficiency and Daily stats to gauge the strength of the other Players.
Also, comparing the two stats is very useful:
- If the Player has a high Efficiency but a low Daily, then that Player needs to be in an introLEAGUE to motivate to workout. They would be a great teammate because they respond well to being motivated by others.
- If Efficiency and Daily are about the same, then the Player is consistent and a solid addition to any team in an introLEAGUE.
- If Efficiency is less than Daily, this means the Player has strong self-motivation and has more potential to perform when in an introLEAGUE.
Now you can pick your teams better in an introLEAGUE and size up your competition! Check out your own Player Card now!
